Today, September 24, the 3rd International Statistical Forum of the Commonwealth of Independent States began its work in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. The event is dedicated to the theme “International Projects – The Driving Force of Statistics”.
The forum is organized by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS in connection with World Statistics Day. It is attended by high-level delegations from 15 countries and more than 10 international organizations, as well as representatives of the scientific community and experts.
A delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Chairman of the National Statistics Committee is taking part in the event. On the first day of the forum, the Chairman gave a presentation on the modernization of Uzbekistan’s national statistical system.
The agenda of the forum includes the discussion of such issues as the System of National Accounts 2025, the International Comparison Program – 2024 cycle, the Population and Housing Census – 2030 round, the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals, industry-specific and multi-sectoral statistical projects, information technologies, the integration of statistical data and smart data, as well as developing competencies in statistics.
The forum will continue until September 26.
