Sustainable development goals in the Republic of Uzbekistan 2023

On the implementation of national sustainable development goals and targets until 2030

The VNR was prepared by the government ministries and agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the overall coordination of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research.

The main purpose of the publication is to show the current state and progress of sustainable development in our country in order to better understand where exactly we are, what we have already achieved and what additional efforts need to be made to achieve the SDGs of the 2030 agenda.

The digest of indicators reflecting the achievements of sustainable development in the Republic of Uzbekistan were prepared by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics. The national indicators can be used for information and statistical monitoring of SDG achievement in Uzbekistan.

The sustainable development goals , otherwise known as the Global goals , are a universal call to action to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all people . The goals were approved by all UN member States , including Uzbekistan, in September 2015. They include 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030.
